Primary Elections Today

The polls are open until 7 o'clock tonight for voters to cast their ballots in the Democratic or Republican primaries.

If you don't know whether or not you are registered to vote, you can check at the Texas Secretary of State's website.  You can also visit this page to find out your polling location.  While registered voters were able to vote at any early voting location, voters on Election Day must vote at their assigned precinct location.

Early voting numbers have doubled in Travis County compared to the early voting totals from the gubernatorial primaries in 2006.  36,424 people voted early out of the county's 585,010 registered voters.
