Kung Fu Cashes In for Haiti

One of Austin's newest bars that prides itself on being unique set out on a unique mission to raise money for victims of earthquake shaken Haiti.

Kung Fu Saloon began a quarter drive several weeks ago.  Every quarter dropped into one of 19 vintage machines, according to owners, will go to Haiti.  The drive ended February 1st, and the final report is in.  Customers dropped 4,828 quarters for a total amount of $1,207, which will go to the Red Cross of Central Texas.

“We are so happy that we are able to help the devastated country of Haiti during this unimaginable tragedy,” said Ben Cantu, co-owner of Kung Fu Saloon.  “Even though our donation was small when you look at the big picture, we are proud of our customers and know every bit helps."
