Bank Robber Makes Oddly Timed Phone Call

Police are seeking a woman who they hope will connect them to the man that robbed a bank a month ago.

The suspect, described as a white male, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds, entered the Comerica Bank at 1701 W. 35th Street and demanded cash. He left on foot, heading southbound on Jefferson Street, with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police now say they believe the suspect called a woman before the robbery. She took the call at the nearby Old Timer Clock Shop at 1803 W. 35th Street. Officers would like to find this woman and speak to her to see if she can give them more information about the robbery.

If you have information about the identity of the woman in the video or about the robbery, police ask you to call the Robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at 472-TIPS or text "Tip 103" + your message to CRIMES.
