Fat Tuesday is a Huge Austin Tradition

The yearly Mardi Gras celebration is once again upon Austin as the evening gets underway.  Loud noise, people with a spirit for partying, and beads will grace the streets of the downtown area, as well as other hot spots in town.

But perhaps an even bigger deal is the three decades old bash called Carnaval Austin, which takes place at the Palmer Events Center.  The celebration is a unique kaleidoscope of dancing, bright colors, South American Music, and the premiere costume party.
