Democratic Candidates Go Head to Head in Debate

Bill White and Farouk Shami took the stage Monday night in Fort Worth for the first debate of the Democratic candidates for Texas governor ahead of the March 2 primaries.

Ross Ramsey of the Texas Tribune pointed out that the debate gave voters a real look at the differences between the former Houston Mayor and the wealthy businessman, particularly where they differ on the issues of abortion, energy exploration, the death penalty and gasoline taxes to support transportation.
