Start Your Engines!
Remote-controlled car racing enthusiasts gather outside of the HobbyTown store in north Austin every Saturday. They compete, but they also have a lot of fun getting to know each other and enjoying a hobby they spend a lot of time working on. This video is awesome! It's great exposure for the hobby. Austin has had a strong RC car racing community since the 1980's. There is also an off-road racetrack in North Austin at Ncontrolrc.com
