Kung Fu Saloon, one of Austin's newest watering holes is donating every quarter dropped into their 19 vintage arcade games to the Haiti relief efforts following a devastating earthquake earlier this month.
Co-owner Nick Adams is calling the act of kindness Quarters4Relief and runs through February 1, 2010. "Every single quarter dropped into one of our games will be donated directly to the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts," Adams said. "This is the least we can do to help those that have been affected by this unimaginable tragedy in Haiti."
So high tail it over to Kung Fu Saloon located just south of West 6th Street at 510 Rio Grande. They've got 20 beers on tap, and are an alternative to the normal bar scene in Austin. Go to their web site for more.
