Floorball Game Gets People Moving in Fun Competition

Its intensity rivals a competitive soccer match, which includes endless amounts of running, sweating, and ball exchanging.  But it's non-contact and allows men and women alike to enjoy it.

I'm talking about floorball, and Austin happens to have a dedicated group to the sport that uses a whiffle ball and sticks to move players up and down the court.

The Austin Floorball Club plays with friendly competition for pick up games every Tuesday at the St. John's Community Center.  Jeff Morris, who has played for more than ten years, says it's addicting and fun.

Austin Floorball Club is starting a beginners league on February 21 at the Austin Sports Arena.  Go to the web sites linked below for sign up forms.  They would like to boost the number of teams.

Check out the Austin Floorball Club web site, as well as the Austin Sports Arena for all the info.
