Austin Tech Entrepreneurs Create Haiti Relief Fund

A group of Austin entrepreneurs are calling on Central Texans to help those affected by the recent earthquakes in Haiti. Austin Ventures and the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas have established the High-Tech HelpHaiti Fund to donate to groups assisting directly in the relief efforts.

The high-tech entrepreneurs behind the fund will match up to $600,000. They have already sent $250,000 to groups helping in Haiti, opting to send the money now when it is needed, rather than waiting until the entire amount has been matched.

Donations are being collected at http://www.givetoaustin.org/HelpHaiti.
