NaNoWriMo

Probably the most challenging part of writing is coming up with an idea. But then obstacles like putting pen to paper seem to keep most people from ever accomplishing their goal.

But National Novel Writing Month is trying to change that. Creatively dubbed, "NaNoWriMo," a nonprofit crusade on literacy, is encouraging people of all backgrounds to write a 50,000 word novel in just one month. In the first year, only 21 people participated. But now more than 150,000 writers are getting to work in more than 90 countries. It's the largest writing contest in the world.

The Pflugerville Community Library is hosting write-ins, where people come to collect their creative juices in order to get their stories told. After all the write-ins, a wrap party will be held on December 1 from 6 pm - 8 pm where writers will share pieces of their work.
