Pictures from Austin's big snow storm are still flowing in. Officially, 0.6" of snow fell at Camp Mabry. The city of Austin and Travis County closed early, while Austin Independent School District remained a normal class schedule. Many other schools decided to do the same, telling parents it would have been more risky to send students home early than to keep them in class.
Children and families built snowmen and snowwomen all across the area, and one woman paid tribute to the exciting sight with a tribute in song. Listen below to Charlotte Moore. Pictures by John Salazar.
