UT Hex Puts Voodoo on Aggies

This Thanksgiving, the 11-0 #3 Texas Longhorns will meet with the Texas A&M Aggies for the 116th time. Each year before they play, the student body gathers for a "Hex Rally," to put a jinx on the Aggies in hopes of winning the game.

The tradition started in 1941, when a fortune teller in Austin told several students that in order to win the game that year, they would have to perform a hex and light candles. That year, they won, breaking a nine year losing streak against the Aggies.
